Beauty in our day.

I am one that gets caught in the daily grind.
Chores.
Cleaning.
Meals.
Naps.
School.
Bedtime.

Then at the end of the day not much fun was to be had. I hate that. But I haven't found a good balance that I can keep up.

I am currently focusing on doing little things to bring peace and joy. Fun learning. Childhood at its best.
I play quiet classical music as much as I can.
Put essential oils in the diffuser.
Set out fun craft supplies. Different ones then our normal. But keeping our normal out too.
If we can keep things semi clean. And have lots of craft time it feels the best. I don't do well well in a real messy place. Or a clean one. But honestly the really clean one stresses me the most. Cause it can't be undone.
Today I am pulling out some natural clay and our pottery tools. I had forgotten we had it. But I know it will be a hit. Yesterday I brought out our stamps. They loved it. And I realized I need to get more ink pads. And a basket that holds them all. 3 small containers isn't the best set up.
I recently bought pastels and charcoal drawing supplies. But kinda forgot about them. I plan to pull them out soon too.
I also took several totes of books out to my shed a long time ago. I have decided to bring them in. I don't honestly have room for them. But I'm going to buy brackets and bring them anyways. I want the children to have better access to all I can give them. The girls have some empty wall space for shelves.
More youtube how to videos. More fun.
All the children are pouring lots of time into garden planning and dreaming. We can't wait.
I want fun. I want natural learning. I want calm peace. And what I keep finding is I have to be more intentional in it all.
So here is to trying again.

Belle update.

No kids yet. But she is doing well. With this hard freeze we are hauling water out to the 3 goats and calf several times a day. It isn't fun. Or easy. But gets us out there about every two hrs during the day. I am giving belle Red Raspberry leaves. To help her birth.
I have a heat lamp in the barn with her. And this morning when I went out she was in between the other two goats. They were bedded down with her keeping her warm. It was adorable. I wish I had a camera with me. :)

Excitement!!!

Setting down my knitting so I can be with my goat Belle, for a while. Girls are thinking tonight is her night to birth. I am expecting her to have twins. So far she has had a perfect twin, triplet pattern. I'll let you know! This means milk!! I am excited!
Now to find the heat lamp.... And set her up a bed away from the other goats.
