Mutant Sunflower.

These are all pictures of one sunflower I picked today. A crazy mutant. But we all thought it was fun. I picked about a dozen today. 18ish more are left out there to grow. We are planning on planting at least double what we did this year. 

   Since this was our first year we DIdNT know much about them. But they can handle some neglect and grow really well. And give a good harvest. 

   We (ok patrick did. This was his deal) just mulched them heavy in straw. And watered well the first couple weeks. Then left it mostly alone til now. Only a water now and then. Also watching them if any stalks broke. We picked if that happened. 

    But it is decided. We love our sunflowers.
