Sauerkraut

Rhyyan and I chose and picked 5 cabbages. And I chopped them up. It made 1 gallon of kraut. This time I'm going for a long ferment. I generally do a week. But many on a fermenting group on Facebook go several weeks. So I'm trying it. 
   I added 5 hot peppers to it. I'm hoping it is a good amount of heat. Rhyyan and I love both heat and kraut. So it would mostly belong to us if I got it hot enough. 
   They were all the peppers close enough to ripe. I am hoping to do at least 5 gallons of it this summer. And I hope to plant more cabbage for fall as well. We will see.
